Offence data can be collected by traffic wardens or police using a handheld computer which is capable of printing a paper ticket to be left at the vehicle. The intelligence of the handheld ensures that a variety of checks are made on the data, all but eliminating incorrect entries and ensuring the confidence of the court system for a valid fine. All important entry fields such as streets, citation details and special license plates are present in the handheld ensuring immediate feedback and correction for invalid entries.
The data is transferred from all of the handhelds, either overnight or immediately via GPRS, to a central PC from which it can be sent on to one of many different back end financial processing systems. This data is also archived within Politess Office ™ to be available for our flexible and powerful statistical reporting tool.
Some of the more recent features such as color camera and GPS can dramatically improve both the accuracy and the reliability of the citation, necessary in today’s increasingly litigious society. Using mobile data communication, the units can even communicate in real time to one of the many mobile phone parking solutions available in the market today.
